Texas Holdem: A quick overview

Texas Holdem poker is the most popular of all of the poker games in the world. Learning to play is easy, but mastering the game is a lot more difficult. Unlike other casino games it is a dynamic game where you can win based on your skills and experience. During a game two cards are dealt to you (called pocket cards) and five cards are dealt as community cards. You need to compile the best 5-card poker hand possible from the total of seven cards available.

The game runs as follows:
- Everyone is dealt their pocket cards and everyone places their first bets.
- The first three community cards (the flop) is dealt and they are available to all players. Another round of betting ensues.
- The fourth community card (the turn card) is dealt and then there is some more betting.
- The fifth and last card (the river card) is dealt and the last round of betting is done.The winner is the person with the best combination of 5 cards, using both pocket and community cards. wins the pot.
