Craps is and will always be a game of chance. Although it is very exciting and there are seemingly endless betting and winning options, it still remains a game of luck. There are numerous claims out there of a craps strategy or systems that will make you roll in the money every time… Not true. It never works in the long run when you are playing craps for money.

The only real version of a craps strategy that you can learn, but still has flaws is with dice control. This craps strategy can however only be applied when playing at a regular casino and only comes with hours and hours of practice. There are some horrible and common misperceptions about betting systems that work. In theory some of them work, but in the long run you would be amazed at how quickly you can lose a boatload of money.

A common problem is that some players believe that some numbers might be due to be rolled. Problem: every role of the dice is random. So it might hit some or other time, but you might just as well not see a specific combination for 200 rolls in a row.

However a much more dangerous option is to go for one of the most popular gambling systems… the dreaded Martingale system. It is a progressive betting system, by which you follow every losing roll with a bet that is double the size of the previous bet. It has potential catastrophic implications on your finances, while only offering a very slight advantage if you manage to win a few hands.

Out of all the options dice control is the very best option. There are few things that can however play against you. The biggest problem is that the size, weight and weight distribution of all dice are not the same. The dice that you can buy at any hobby or toy store will more than likely not be the same as the ones used at the closest casino.

If however you are able to get past this problem you need to learn how to constantly throw the dice at the same trajectory and at the same speed. There have been a number of books written on the subject, and if you are really interested you should look them up and try it yourself. I am not too keen to get myself into trouble with such things however. The best thing you can do however is to enjoy craps for the fast paced great game it is.
